Don Wilson is the co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Stone Pillar Advisors.

Don has had more than 25 years of progressively responsible positions in different parts of the banking industry. Before founding Stone Pillar, Don led a turnaround process as the President and COO of a $5 billion asset publicly-held Midwestern bank, having joined the organization as the CFO. Previously, he had been the Corporate Treasurer for a $50+ billion asset Midwestern-based banking and technology company, driving the funding, capital management, investor relations, investment portfolio, profitability measurement and securitization activities to support the rapid organic and acquisitive growth of the organization. He came to that organization from a large global banking organization, where he was responsible for the analysis of the interest rate risk of the North American operations. He started his career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, serving in several roles in the bank examination division and the economic research division.

Don is a frequent public speaker to industry and customer audiences, on topics from market conditions to financial strategy. He holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago and a BBA in Financial Economics from the University of Iowa.
